Purpose

The purpose of this organization is to offer Black Students a form of identity, a social life, and is a vehicle of communication to the faculty/staff, students, and administration at South Dakota State University.

Black Student Alliance attempts to create a cultural awareness to the university community about problems relating to African Americans through its involvement and sponsorship in programs on campus.  BSA hopes to bring about African American awareness through planning and participating in political, academic, cultural activities.

It is the responsibility of Black Student Alliance to uphold the Student Code and the educational mission of South Dakota State University.

Membership

BSA membership is open to all SDSU students, faculty/staff, administration and the Brookings community.  BSA welcomes anyone who would like to experience the culture of African Americans.
