STATE TECH is believed to have started in either the late 1960's
or early 1970's to support programs and events for SDSU. It is unknown
whether STATE TECH was developed by the Student Union, but the services
were transferred with the Union from the Pugsley Center to the current
Student Union building in 1973. STATE TECH initially grew in response
to the needs of the Student Union Council (now University Program Council)
and various student organizations, expanding to meet the needs of campus
events.

STATE TECH has been known by many names ranging from the “Stage Crew”
and “Tech Crew” to “Technical Services” and “State Tech Production Services.”
But by whatever name we are referred, our mission has always stayed the
same. STATE TECH is committed to providing a complete and professional
service to support SDSU’s many programs and events.

Today, STATE TECH continues to be
a great asset for student organizations and the SDSU community by providing
professional production at affordable rates. STATE TECH's staff
of student technicians have been trained with the knowledge and skills to
make your events a success. The staff looks forward to the opportunity
