Wintrode
Student Success Center
(WSC)
Wintrode
Student Success Center offers a
range of free services for specific South Dakota State University
students. These students include TRiO SSS students and students working
with the Office of Disability Services or the College of General Studies. When working at
WSC
as a Tutor you will act as a facilitator so that the students will
"learn how to learn." Through your work at WSC, you will
provide learning assistance and serve as a model student. Your
responsibility extends to both students and South Dakota State
University.
Students can receive tutoring in more
than one area each week. All sessions start on the hour and continue for
45-50 minutes. TRiO SSS works on an appointment schedule. Students
should schedule a time to meet with a tutor. However "walk-in" tutoring
is acceptable if the tutor on duty is not assisting another student.
Students may also use
the Wintrode Student Success Center as a place of study at anytime.
Hours of Operation
TRiO SSS tutors will be available from
10am-5pm Monday-Thursday & 10am-2pm Friday. Wintrode Student Success
Center will be open from 8am-9pm Monday - Friday.

| Hours of Operation: 7:30pm-10:30pm
Sunday -Thursday. Closed Holidays. Late Night Larson (LNL) is held in
Larson Commons and serves as an alternate study area for students. Study
groups are encouraged. LNL is a combined effort between TRiO SSS,
Athletic Department, Aramark, and Residential Life. Tutors
act as a facilitator so that the students will "learn how to learn."
Tutors will provide learning assistance and serve as a model student.
Tutors' responsibilities extend to both students and South Dakota State
University.
TRiO SSS will
provide three (3) Tutors
each evening.
Students can receive tutoring as
often as time allows. All tutoring sessions begin and end at the
discretion of the Tutor and the Tutee. Tutoring appointments are not
made for LNL since walk-in tutoring is offered on a first come, first
serve basis.
