Mission Statement
South Dakota State University's TRiO Student Support Services Program
is designed to help university students achieve academic success. The
ultimate goal of the SDSU TRiO Student Support Services Program is to
increase the number of students who succeed from semester to semester
and who graduate from SDSU.
Services Provided by the Program Include:
- Free Tutoring
- Free Supplemental Instruction
- Academic, Financial and Personal Advising
- Study Strategy Workshops and Tips
- Scholarships for Pell Grant Eligible Students
- Priority Registration
- Career Exploration
- Educational Enhancement Activities
- Assistance in Accessing other Campus Support Services
The TRiO
Student Support Services program is funded by the
US Department of
Education and operates within the SDSU
Division of
Student Affairs
The Student Support Services (SSS)
Program provides opportunities for academic development, assists
students with basic college requirements, and serves to motivate
students towards the successful completion of their postsecondary
education. The goal of SSS is to increase the college retention and
graduation rates of its participants and facilitate the process
of creating academically successful students. |
