Carla's employment with Upward Bound began in March, 2004 as the secretary.  She was named Program Director in March, 2006.  Carla was a low-income student and the first in her family to have an advanced degree.  She has her Master's degree in Counseling and Human Resources Development and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology, both from SDSU.  Carla's favorite part about working with Upward Bound is getting to know the students during the Summer Programs and hearing from Upward Bound graduates who are now in college.

Jodi was named Academic Coordinator in October, 2006.  She has her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from SDSU and has experience with programming and coordinating recruitment and retention.  Jodi's favorite part about working with Upward Bound is getting to know the students during the Summer Programs and the Saturday Programs. She enjoys watching students mature and set goals for themselves throughout the years and seeing those goals become realities.

Sara is from Watertown, SD and attends SDSU.
This is her second year as a tutor with Upward Bound

Roosevelt High School:  Chelsea Wecker
Chelsea is from Arpin, WI and attends SDSU as a Pharmacy major. 
This is her first year as at tutor with Upward Bound.

Flandreau High School:  Madaline Edison
Madaline is from Sioux Falls and attends SDSU as an English major. 
This is her second year as a tutor with Upward Bound.
